I am a busy work at home mom. Many days I am home all day. The other days I am often running around taking my kids from place to place or doing errands. I often don’t give my hair styles a second thought. In fact, if you were to run into me on any given day, you would probably see me in a ponytail.

I am a fairly low maintenance kind of gal. However, as I get older I have realized that even though it may seem a little superficial, if I spend some time making myself presentable I feel so much better about myself. Seeing yourself in sweats or yoga pants, no make-up and pulled back hair day after day really doesn’t do a whole lot for your self esteem.

I knew that if I was going to realistically do my hair more often that I would have to come up with some easy hairstyles that were fast. I don’t have a lot of time in the morning. One of the main reasons I don’t normally blow dry my hair is because it simply takes too long – at least fifteen minutes to get it completely dry. 

This may be because I have had the same blow dryer since college. Let’s just say that it is old and outdated! So I decided to take a trip to Walmart to see what I could find to make styling my hair easier and faster. 

I found a ton of great items, but I decided to take home with me the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer, Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®, scünci Jersey Active Headwrap, Conair Velvet Paddle Brush and Conair Professional Round Brush.

To start with I tried out the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Brushless Motor Dryer.

The old adage “you get what you pay for” really rings true with the dryer. I was able to dry my hair completely in only 5 minutes! I used the paddle brush to get my hair really straight without any tangles. Since my I have my make-up routine down to only five minutes flat, this means I can be ready and out the door a little over 10 minutes! That is amazing.

You can also use a round brush to add more volume to your hair while you blow dry. Be sure not to wind too much hair on the brush or it will tangle!

I was so pleased with the speed I could dry my hair. It looked so much better than allowing my hair to simply air dry. I had almost no frizz and the dryer was really quiet. There is also a cold shot setting to set your style in place.

I am in that awkward stage of growing out my bangs. I still want to have some bangs, but I want them longer to be able to tuck them behind my ear. An easy way to keep my bangs out of my face while still looking putting together is to simply use a bobby pin to pin them back.

I really like to have my hair out of my face during the day. That is one of the reasons I like to have my hair in a ponytail most days. So I created a cute way to get my hair out of my face while still looking like I tried. Take a small section of hair from each side right above your ears. Twist each section and secure with a small hair band.

Next, I was really looking forward to trying out the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®. I have heard a ton about this curler. Ever since I had kids my hair went from wavy to stick straight. If I use a traditional curling iron I spend so much time to curl my long hair and the curl falls out within a half hour or so.

The curler is so easy to use. I was a little intimidated at first, but really it is super easy. Start with dry, freshly washed hair. Take a 1/2 – 1″ section of hair, place it in the curl secret, close it, let go of your hair and allow the curl secret to draw your hair up. It will curl your hair perfectly. I clip up the top half of my hair to do the back first.

Next, use the curl secret to curl the rest of your hair.

It takes hardly any time at all to curl your hair. I simply finger combed through my hair after I was finished! I am so excited to be able to have curly hair again when I want.

Some tips for using the Infiniti Pro by Conair® Curl Secret®:

• Do not use too large a section of hair or it may tangle. If you hair is becoming tangled, it will make four quick beeps to let you know to remove your hair.
• Set the timer for 8, 10 or 12 seconds. Since my hair is so straight normally I used the highest setting with the longest time. Once the curl secret has drawn your hair up into the curler it will start to beep. Leave your hair in it until it does 4 quick beeps. 
• The smaller section of hair you use the tighter curl you will get.
• Brush each section of hair before curling to remove any tangles.

These curls lasted. I woke up the next morning with my hair still curly! This never happens for me, so I was totally impressed! My hair can be pretty oily so I usually wash my hair daily. I don’t really feel like I can leave my hair down on day two if it hasn’t been washed. You can use one of the scünci Jersey Active Headwraps to pull back your hair. It did not slip and didn’t give me a headache like I get from regular headbands.

And I still love my ponytails. But to make your ponytail look more pulled together, wrap a section of hair around your ponytail holder and secure with a bobby pin. This only takes an extra second but makes it look like your ponytail is more polished. I added a cute clip to keep my bangs out of my face.
