Day 1: Dust Cobwebs. In just 31 days, get your home in tip-top shape. Today’s task is to clean up the cobwebs from the ceilings and corners of the room.
Welcome to day 1 of the 31 Days of Deep Cleaning Your Home series! As I mentioned yesterday, we will start from the top and work our way down.
Dust Cobwebs
Today’s task is to dust the cobwebs.
Use Vacuum
The easiest way is to use your vacuum cleaner’s brush attachment. I have a Dyson and use this dusting attachment.
Use Duster
If you don’t have a brush attachment, you can always use a feather or Swiffer-type duster to wipe them down. You can even use a damp microfiber cloth to wipe them away.
To reach those tall corners of your ceiling, you can wrap a microfiber cloth around a broom, secure it with tape or a rubber band, and use that to wipe down the corners.
Don’t forget to check the corners of your room down to the floor. I found a few cobwebs sneaking around there.

If you have extra time or do not have too many cobwebs, dust the tops of picture frames, mirrors, etc., hanging on the walls. Since you already have your vacuum out, you can dust along the tops of the door frames. This doesn’t take very long to do!
Remember, if you feel overwhelmed or don’t have much time to devote to this task today, focus on your home’s dirtiest or most used rooms.
