Baby Shower Advice Book. Create a DIY baby shower advice book for friends and family to fill out at a loved one’s baby shower.

At my friend’s Enchanted Forest baby shower I hosted, I had each guest write advice for the parents-to-be. I wanted to make a special keepsake for her that would include all those cards and some additional quotes I had found about parenthood.

How to Make a Baby Shower Advice Book

At the baby shower, I had each guest fill out a pre-cut note card with advice for the parents-to-be. These special notes would be a wonderful keepsake and provide the new mom and dad with encouragement on the rough days of parenting.

After the shower, I put together the handwritten quotes with quotes I found about parenting. One side contained the handwritten quote, and the other had the pre-printed quotes I found.

I used a DCWV Premium Stack called Linen Closet Matstack for the cardstock papers that made up my book. Half of the pages were glittered.

These papers are already 4.5″ x 6.5″, so they worked perfectly for the size of the advice cards to leave some space on the side to attach them with a binder ring. The embellishments were all ones I found at Jo Ann’s in their dollar aisle.

I embellished each page that the guests wrote on, as well as the quotes that I had printed out on my computer. I used the script font Pea Roxygirl and Book Antiqua.

I wanted this book to be for both parents and not just the mom at the shower, so I also sprinkled in some quotes for Dads.

And I think all parents know you have to have a sense of humor to make it through the long days of parenting, so I also tried to find some funny quotes to fill the pages with.

I tied ribbons around the binder ring and embellished the front cover using a vellum quote glued to a glitter frame, and the whole thing was attached using foam squares.

The last page of the album included the quote on the invitations I made for the shower. I felt like this was a good way to tie everything together.

Following are the quotes I printed out and included in the book. I wanted there to be a mix of practical, sentimental, and humorous ones.
